Leila Walter is a textile artist who makes abstract tapestries and textile collages using gathered local, vintage and remnant textiles. Her work is a meditation on how material can hold, reflect and transform human experience.

From her studio in Cape Town's old textile centre, Woodstock, Leila works with galleries, spatial designers, private collectors and decorators across the country and further afield.

Each piece functions as a quiet archive:
holding the memory of touch and time,

and as an invitation:
to linger, to feel deeply,
and to move through the world with presence.
